This 1929 Duesenberg Model J Sports Sedan, built by Murphy, was one of only two cars with the distinctive V-shaped windshield. It was first shown by Duesenberg at the San Francisco Salon in 1929 before being sold to the Norris family, who owned major holdings in Chicago and Colorado Springs, including the famous Broadmoor Hotel. The car spent much of its life there.
In 1985, Silicon Valley real estate developer John Mozart purchased the car and entered it at Pebble Beach the following year, where it earned Second in Class. In 1991, it was sold to Texas developer Jerry Moore, and later changed hands again. Today, it belongs to Michigan billionaire Bill Parfet.
